St. Pats & Someone Reads This!

I had the best conversation last night with my oldest nephew (who has definitely gotten older), and he told me that he knew I went to Reno because he read my blog. I had no idea that anyone even read this, so I'm actually feeling a little inspired to maybe write a little more often if I have an audience. Thanks, Matt!

So today is St. Pat's, and it kind of makes me miss home or at least brings up happy memories of how it was growing up. Green - yep, you wore it. Dinner - could only be corned beef and cabbage with potatoes. Irish - yes, I do happen to have a bit in me, but even if I didn't I'd party like a Lepruchan because that's how things were done. So, I'm doing all that anyway, but I'm not seeing as many others with as much spirit. This year I went the crockpot route with the corned beef and cabbage (and potatoes, of course), and I hope it turns out tasty because it's all I've been able to think about all day long. I love food. I mean, I *really* love food and get all excited thinking about my favorite meals. The reciped called for a bottle of beer to be poured over it, so it can't turn out too bad, right?
