Today is Smoke-free Day 84.

Yesterday went well, even with the extra little tuggings. I did help my friend, realized what a handful little kids really are and what a production even simple things can be with them (still, in a heartbeat, I'd do it) and how bad my Japanese has gotten, then played the Sims2 a bit after they left, did a mini-fast food run (now more rare - and I didn't love it - more progress), made the marinara sauce (the rest of the yummies mentioned yesterday will be made today) and was asleep shortly after midnight (very strange for me). It was really no big deal to deal with the little tuggings.

And now I've just sneezed 8 times in the space it took me to write the above, so I'm not going to compete. I'll just say that so far fewer tuggings this morning, so I think it's getting even a bit easier, and that's pretty good considering that the entire tapering off Chantix thing (ask your doctor) hasn't really been bad anyway.

  1. This is wonderful, Maggie! I am so happy to read this post. I just started a 1/2 pill today. Tried last week, but the tension was still too thick from the wedding. I really didn't have much today. At least nothing a dumdum wouldn't take care of. ;) I've been sneezing for days now. I know it's hay fever, golden rods and farmers cutting hay. It's finally (sadly) cooling off and will only be in the low 80s most of the week. I'll probably sneeze most of it. Can't wait to see how well you are doing in another day or so!

  2. Thanks, Sherri! I've never really had allergies, but this does seem like how I always imagined it would be...

  3. Hey, Maggie! How did the marinara sauce turn out?

  4. MsTek - I had to tweak the marinara recipe a bit, but then it was yummy! Details in my post this morning. Now I have plenty frozen, too ;)

Talk to me.
