Haiku Friday 4/18/08

Haiku Friday
俳句の金曜日

#@!^% #@!^% *** %^!@# %^!@#

Quick rant, true story:
A post office with no stamps.
What's the effing point?

#@!^% #@!^% *** %^!@# %^!@#

Sunny, seventy,
last weekend was just gorgeous:

This weekend? Might snow.

It's April. April!
For the love of Pete, come on.
Ridiculousness.

Note to self: Dear Self,
Do not go into the hills.
Snow there. Poor bastards.

A kitty update
I present to you this week,
if you read last week

If not, I'll recap:
I had a cat pee problem
and a solution.

Culprit caught on cam,
scroll down on that post to see
video for proof.

=^..^= =^..^= =^..^= =^..^=

Then back on Wednesday*
I posted a long ass post,
an update of sorts.
(*I say it with 2 syllables, so it must be right)

If you read it, thanks;
if not, the nutshell version
goes something like this:

I had a long day,
returned to a cat peed bed,
stopped trying to fight.

Though I liked the floor
and memories of Japan,
I packed up that "bed."

Now I'm a big girl,
sleeping in a big girl bed,
and it's like heaven.

Just one more recap.
Passed 300 smoke-free days.
And I smell awesome.

  5. My favorite part is: Note to self, Do not go into the hills. :) Just keep self away from those hills and you'll stay warm enough, I hope. :P

I'm glad you caught the culprit kitty, and that things are drier in your world as a result. :)

  12. I totally understand both your weather and your smoke free days! I too quit several years ago. My Chantix was the death of my Father. Never had another cigarette. And if you can believe it I never missed it.

  13. It's freezing here this weekend, too! Brrr....on the other hand, think of all that hot coffee that will feel so good while it snows in the hills!

  14. The weather here in South Texas is Gorgeous and suppose to get hot enough to need the AC my mid week (not good for April).
I'll take this kind of weather any day over SNOW IN APRIL, hills or no hills.

  15. Can you believe it?! Not me. My mom told me on the phone tonight that it might snow tomorrow and I didn't believe her until I saw a car with snow on it's roof.

This is the longest winter I've ever lived through...not cool.

Oh well, at least the skiers and boarders will be happy.

  18. Snow here this morning - 65 and sun last weekend. Weary! Post offices are the worst place to go if you want to get something done. LOL I have the same problem...
