Sesame Chicken - This is a really delicious and fabulous dish, and it really is healthier than ordering out.

Italian Sausage Chicken - I used Al Fresco Sweet Italian Style Sausage, and it is way leaner but tastes as good as the real deal. A little cooking spray in the pan to sautee the onions and peppers and whole wheat buns plus a little reduced fat Italian blend of cheese on top - perfection! On the side, I sliced up some zucchini, sprayed the pan with cooking spray, sprinkled some Italian seasoning and pepper and baked at 350 for about 40 minutes, turning once.

The bike thing - I'm borrowing a bike from a friend and riding to save gas and for general health, but it is tough! Also, I only thought I'd ditched the fanny pack (yes, I know what that means in some places outside of the US...), but it really is too convenient sometimes.

  4. I need to seriously air up the tires on my bike. It's a tough call though, cuz though biking is healthier/free...on derm's orders, I try to stay out of the sun.

In any case, luv the pics and you look fabu, as usual. You even pulled off the fanny pack! Hope things continue to get easier for you. Really, you've done AMAZING. When I think back to when I started ths journey, you've helped me make possible what I thought was impossible. I was really not sure I could do it, and not 100% I wanted to. Though who is really 100% about anything? Point is, without you, I doubt any of it would be possible as there is no one left in my day to day life that has stuck this out with me. So enough mushiness from me, but a million thanks.

As a side note, I can't sleep so I'm watching this lifetime movie about a woman who joins AA only cuz she's lonely. Funny in a strange way!

I love how you showed the coffee cup - I don't even want to imagine how hard that might have been.

  13. Ok Maggie,
I am determined to eat healthier after this week! I may be scrounging your site for "healthy" recipes when I get home. I will be in a hotel for the next week and eating whatever I get fed from the institute. I must say the food at Harvard was amazing...much better than the sleeping accomondations! Your sesame chicken looks "Bomb!" Your kitties look so mellow! Mine is still mad at me! I have a less politically correct term that I call the "fanny pack" so I will shut up now! Glad your feeling better!
    Peace,
    Diva
