Blo Me? Blo You?

So, should I do it again this year like I did last year? The crazy NaBloPoMo thing that involves blogging every bloody bloggy day for the whole month of November? At least it used to just be the month of November, which is nothing compared to the really nutty folks like Sandy and Lou doing the 365 thing. And last year NaBloPoMo was how I first met Sarcastic Mom (she contacted me on NaBloPoMo's site or something and shortly after started Weekly Winners), which led to finding others like Secret Agent Mama and so many other favorites.

My point is that I met a lot of really cool folks last year, that led to other really cool folks, but the only problem is that at this time last year, I'd been posting about 6 days per week anyway, so it was easy to just round it out. At this point of this year, somehow I'm averaging about 3 or 4 posts most weeks (more if you count what's going on over at the private blog - go on, email me for permission to get in because you are welcome, just not people like my bosses and whatnot). I wonder if I really have that much to say. Every. God. Damn. Day. For. 30. Days. I wonder if you'd get bored. I wonder if I'd get bored.

Still, it nags at me, almost begging to be done, and I just might do it, even though November will be absolutely crazy busy (see private blog), but I'll have to make a plan of some kind, and I guess it works out perfect since November 1 is also a Saturday, which means time to plan, but...

So, whaddaya think? Should I do it? Will you be doing it, too? Anything you'd love to hear me post about since I was lame and didn't answer all of the questions people were kind enough to ask me months ago (which might become a post or five in November, just sayin')? Anything you are sick to death of hearing about besides food, cats, Tom, Japan and whatever else I talk about here? If you blo me, maybe I'll blo you. Or, um, something.

  5. I feel the same way. I met Sandy last year through NaBloPoMo. It was fun then. Now? I don't know. I feel like the pressure of posting every day may just be too much. But still I kinda want to. Hmmmmm.

  7. Yeah, yeah, promises, promises. At least that's what hubby always says when I make comments like that.

I'd have to agree with Shadow - do what makes YOU happy. Guarantee, if you blog shows a new post in my reader, I'll be visiting. Doesn't matter if it's every day or once a week. Okay, to be perfectly honest, if you post everyday I may not get around to commenting every day, but I'll be reading!

No way I would to the 30 in 30 thing. There are days at home when I never even get a chance to turn my computer on. Posting every day?! If anything thought I was capable of it, they'd have to be smoking crack.

  8. dude, your posts are never boring. And think...it doesn't have to be a lot of words, it can be pictures! I post every day anyway, even if it IS just a picture (that counts), so I'm doing it!

  15. Boy was I disappointed when I read this post. When the title popped up in my reader I knocked my coffee over on my desk I was moving so fast to click it! ;)

I say write ONE post, break it into 30 sentence fragments, then add "...to be continued" to the end of each one every day. What do you think?
