Awesome Autumn in 13 Ways

While the change of season is always kind of fun and reaffirming that as seasons change, life does go on, autumn really has become my favorite season as an adult. The reasons are endless. I'll just give you 13 of them. You're welcome.
  1. Everything pumpkin (like those I've mentioned and the Curried Pumpkin Soup I love and the Pumpkin Pie Dip I would love to try)

  2. Cool nights and snuggling up in warm blankets (ideally with the meow faces)

  3. All different kinds of squash I've never tried just yet but will surely love

  4. Apples weighing heavy on tree branches or covered in caramel or nestled into a pie warmed with cinnamon

  5. Leaves transforming gradually and unevenly enough to be worthy of pause and wonder

  6. Fallen leaves dried and crunching underfoot

  7. Crisp freshness in the air, with an invigorating little bite

  8. Warm coffee in cold hands - again, the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte (copycat) must be mentioned

  9. Hot chocolate adding the whipped cream and cherry on top of a very good book

  10. Settling in a little earlier because the sun does, too

  11. Rich reds and chocolately browns and burnt oranges

  12. Old sweaters new once again

  13. Summer's sandals giving way to woolen socks
Today is smoke-free day 472, and I'm still counting.

  6. I am a summer gal myself, but this list really makes me think about autumn in a different way! I am not a fan of pumkin flavors, I wish I was though... it seems like I'm missing out!

  7. Fall is my fav season. We got married in Oct - yes we were in Austalia, and everyone thought 'oh, how nice, a spring wedding' - but in MY mind, Oct was choosen because I knew we would be living in the US and I was looking at future anniversary weekend trips in the fall! :-)

  8. Fall is nice for Halloween and the colors, but I'm not big on the weather changes. I miss my warm summer!

  9. This is my favourite time of year too. I got some pears from a neighbour and they are ripening in the window until I poach them in brandey. I love sweaters. I love getting out my thicker coat. I have been making butternut soup...I should try pumpkin!

    Here is my TT list:

  11. There is a part of me that enjoys melancholy - witness the type of music I listen to when in contact with my muse. And I find Fall to be lightly touched by melancholy. Thus the reason, I think, I like Fall best.

  15. Fall is my absolute favorite season. I love to feel the crisp air in the mornings and catch a whiff of wood smoke on the breeze. Wrapping up in a blanket and reading the day away on a gloomy rainy day is the best! Happy TT

  22. oh, the fall is so my favorite. i wish we got more of one down here in florida (there is not much change by way of seasons all year). but we do get to enjoy a reprieve from the hot hotness that is ridicu-summer. my favorite on your list (besides all of it, really): "Rich reds and chocolately browns and burnt oranges"

    Love that.

  23. Great T13! Autumn is my favorite time of year for many of the reasons you listed. I am enjoying my warm cup of coffee on this very cold morning in Ohio as we speak!!!
Sorry I've been gone. I have had issues with my home Internet connection! I think I am back for good! And it's nice to be back!

  24. I love the colors, but hate to see the cold settle in. I really need to live somewhere that's warm year around, then perhaps I'd enjoy fall!
