She Wondered Why We Would Take Pictures of Such a Building
Saturday Drive - Inola, Oklahoma
(True Story. A woman walked over to us and asked "what are y'all doin'?" and looked completely puzzled that we weren't even from the newspaper or some other reasonable explanation for wanting to take pictures of this building. The Oregon license plates on my car probably just make us that much more curious on our little Saturday trips to the small towns.)

  2. Maggie, I so love coming to your place. You feed me and then you introduce me to the neighbours. To top it off my mind is delighted with the textures and scenes that you show me.

I love squirrels. Probably because we have nothing like them in Australia.

  3. I love the photos of the old derelict buildings. There is so much texture and detail. Very cool.

I lived in Oklahoma for six months a very long time ago. OK is the only place I have ever been to a restaurant that was formerly a brothel.

I finally made it here to say hey; I would miss Portland too! But it looks like you're finding some cool places in OK to explore. Thanks for visiting. I'll keep you up to date on what's happening here!

  25. I too love your Saturday drive photos! They are all really good. I am having a hard time deciding which one I like best! I'm leaning towards your building shot but I'm a big fan of squirrels to because we have plenty of those around here that like to tease our dogs!!!

  26. Interesting subjects beautifully captured!

  27. Looks delicious. I still like your little neighbor, My Grandfather fed a squirrel for years, at one point it would come down and sit on his shoulder waiting for a tidbit.

The old building in entrancing. There is something about abandoned places that sparks my interest and I suppose my compassion. I always wonder what had happened there, and why it had fallen to such a lonely existence. I love the picture of the doorway, I bet there is a plethora of stories hidden behind that one lonely weathered door.
