Haiku Friday 6/19/09 - For Iran's Most Courageous

For Iran's Most Courageous

Haiku Friday

Fearless green ribbon
wraps around my baffled mind
knots in my stomach.

I do not know you
but we're not all that diff'rent
we deserve what's fair.

Your courage moves me
risking so much for justice
and to tell the world.

Though you've been silenced,
they cannot contain your voice.
Yes, I can hear you.

  1. I wish they could succeed - I fear they will not. Very apt haiku on a current event.

  2. Well written.

We must not dispair. They will succeed, if the nations of the world stand with them. We all MUST push our leaders for their support where ever and when ever we can. And, we MUST do it now.

Yes, I am getting passionate about this . . . can you tell? :^)

  3. Awesome! Thank you for reminding me to perhaps pay attention beyond the walls of my home, sometimes I need some help.

  4. You said this so well in haiku. I feel the same way while following the coverage.

Talk to me.
